Description
Visitors and locals both on an evening stroll, in Basantapur ( Kathmandu Dubar Square) alongside an old statue of Lion. Lion Statues (also known as Simha-Mukha Murti) are mostly found in the architecture of the Durbar Squares found around the Kathmandu Valley. They are mostly found in the entrances and are considered as guardians and protectors. Apart from that, the lions also have the symbolically connected to Royalty or Royal Authority.
